For the Al Jasem’s, they might have well landed on Mars! Their sponsorship was initiated by an eccentric lesbian couple who have set their sites on sponsoring an additional 22 members of the family later this year.

We have access to this incredible unfolding story and the cast of characters that include four generations of the Al Jasem family and hundreds of volunteers. Over the next 9 months we will document the resettlement efforts, struggles and triumphs and release the project in the fall of 2017 as part of TVOntario’s special 150 presentations.
